Arizona Public Time Frames

Step 1: Notice

Notice to the general contractor within 20 days of first furnishing. Notice is not required when contracting directly with the principal (prime contractor).

Step 2: Bond Claim

Notice to and must be received by the general contractor within 90 days from last furnishing

Step 3: Suit Against Bond

After 90 days from last furnishing but within 1 year of final settlement of the contract

Bond Bits

Contracts less than $100,000 are excluded from bond requirements.
Amount of Bond: 100% of the contract price.
