Step 2: Suit Against Bond

File Suit within 6 months from completion of the public work or the time set forth in bond if greater than 6 months.

Bond Bits

Contracts less than $150,000 are excluded from bond requirements.
P3 Private-Public Partnerships less than $150,00 are excluded from bond requirements.
Amount of Bond: Set by owner, but not less than one-half of the contract price.

As soon as possible to trap funds.

Step 2: Suit

Within 90 days of final settlement.
