Step 1: Bond Claim
  • Notice to the contractor within 90 days of last furnishing. Notice is not required when contracting with the principal (prime contractor).

Step 2: Suit Against Bond
  • Within 1 year of completion and acceptance of the project.

Bond Bits

  • Contracts less then $150,000 are excluded from bond requirements.
  • Amount of Bond: 100% of contract price.
