Step 1: Notice
  • Non-Statutory, NACM recommends notice to contractor with request for bond copy within 45 days of last furnishing.

Step 2: Bond Claim
  • Notice to the contractor and surety within 90 days of last furnishing.

Step 3: Suit Against Bond
  • Within 1 year from last furnishing.

Bond Bits

  • Public or private building (P3) or, structure, or improvement to on public real property - Contracts less than $50,000 are excluded from bond/letter of credit requirements.
  • Amount of bond: 100% of contract price.
  • P3 SB430 effective 11/1/17 - OK Public and Private Facilities and Infrastructure Act establishes the Office of Public-Private Partnership. The act includes requirements for letters of credit, surety bonds or other security. The established Office will be responsible to determine the form and the amount of security.
