Connecticut Private Time Frames


Step 1: Notice
  • NACM suggests serving notice 45 days from last furnishing to prompt payment.

Step 2: Lien
  • Served by State Marshal or other proper Officer and file Notice of Intent to Claim a Mechanic's Lien upon the owner and general contractor; then file the Certificate of Mechanic's Lien within 90 days of last furnishing. See Speed Bumps

    Allow ample time for Marshal Service
Step 3: Foreclosure
  • Within 1 year of recording lien.
