Step 1: Bond Claim

Notice to the contractor within 4 months of last furnishing.

Step 2: Suit Against Bond

Within 1 year after the date of final statement of the principal contract.

Bond Bits

Contracts less then $15,000 (state projects), $5,000 (others) are excluded from bond requirements.
Amount of Bond: 100% of contract price.
