Step 1: Notice
  • No Requirement: NACM suggests serving notice 45 days from last furnishing to prompt payment.

Step 2: lien
  • Within 10 days prior to lien filing serve owner Notice of Intention to Claim a Lien.
  • File within 90 days of last furnishing. See Speed Bumps.

Step 3: Foreclosure
  • Serve notice 10 or 20 days prior to suit, see Speed Bumps. Suit and a lis pendens recorded within 3 years after the date of recording of the verified Notice of Intention to Claim a Lien Or within 30 days of notice to commence.
