Pennsylvania Public Time Frames


Step 1: Bond Claim
  • Notice to the prime contractor within 90 days of last furnishing. Notice is not necessary when contracting with the prime contractor (principal).

Step 2: Suit Against Bond
  • No less then 90 days but within 1 year, after performance.

Bond Bits

  • Contracts less then $10,000 are excluded from bond requirements.
  • Amount of Bond: 100% of contract price.
