Statute

Step 1: Notice
  • Serve Notice of Furnishing Labor and Materials on the contractor as soon as possible to trap unpaid funds but not later than 60 days after the last furnishing.

Step 2: Lien
  • Within 120 days of last furnishing. Notify purchasers.

Step 3: Enforcement
  • File Suit
  • Within 6 years of last furnishing, or within 30 days after service of a written demand to commence suit to enforce lien.
