Statute

Step 1: Notice
  • Sub Contractor: Serve the property owner within 10 days prior to filing lien.

Step 2: Lien
  • Contractor & Subcontractors: Within 6 months after last furnishing or work.

Step 3: Enforcement
  • Within 2 years after the last day a claimant may file the lien or within 1 year after completion, termination, or abandonment of the work under the original contract under which the lien is claimed, whichever is later.
